The West Hollywood Bicycle Coalition and the City of West Hollywood are partnering to host a mobility pop-up and safe night-riding event on Monday, Nov. 27, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at the intersection of Santa Monica and San Vicente Boulevards. Information on mobility projects underway in the City will be provided while encouraging safe cycling by helping bicyclists light the way and be more visible during nighttime riding with free bike lights. Bicycle lights will be given to people who have their bikes with them, on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Other complimentary giveaways will be available to everyone, along with information about the West Hollywood Bicycle Coalition. The City’s projects include the ongoing Dockless Mobility (electric bicycle and scooter rentals) and Autonomous Delivery Programs, and City-operated transit services such as the West Hollywood Cityline and the PickUp.
In addition, information will be provided about West Hollywood’s Vision Zero project and bikeway projects to improve road safety for bicyclists, pedestrians and motorists, including bicycle lanes on Fountain Ave. and Santa Monica Blvd., and a Neighborhood Greenway along Willoughby Avenue and Vista-Gardner Streets.
